| Description: |
This is what divers can suffer from if they don’t come up slowly from a deep dive. The increased air pressure the blood and other tissues, causes them to become saturated with nitrogen. If the air pressure is decompressed too quickly then the nitrogen is released as bubbles, which causes wide spread tissue damage.
