It is a rare inherited disorder which affects the white matter in the brain. Babies as young as a few weeks old will begin to exhibit symptoms of feeding poorly, loosing weight, vomiting and remaining unsettled, the progressive loss of physical and mental abilities will eventually mean that life is no longer viable.
