This is a relatively rare cancer now that asbestos is no longer used, the membrane linings that cover internal organs in our bodies are made up of mesothelial cells and it is these which begin behave abnormally. The most common form is pleural mesothelioma which is the membranes surrounding the lungs it is rapid in it’s growth pattern.
