| Description: |
A disease where there is inflammation and damage to the sheath that normally protects the nerves of the optic nerve and the central nervous system; this can lead to episodes of blindness and muscular weakness. Recently a new antibody marker has been developed which distinguishes Devic’s Disease from Multiple Sclerosis.
