This is a form of epilepsy they are usually brief with a lapse of conscious activity. Some of these lasts only seconds or minutes, but many can take place each day. During a seizure, small jerks involving the facial muscles or hands may happen; fortunately people who suffer from these can usually resume normal activities immediately after.
