| Description: |
This is where a clot occurs in the deeper veins in the calf of the leg, the leg may become swollen and warm although this is not always the case; if this occurs, the first you will know about it is when the clot reaches the lung. If this happens you will experience a crushing chest pain and shortness of breath as the clot reaches the lungs and becomes lodged, in the majority of cases the blood clot is absorbed over time.
