| Description: |
This is caused by a bacterial infection of the fallopian tubes ( two tubes from each side of the womb transporting the egg from the ovary).The tube becomes red and swollen and the fluid or pus secreted can cause the tube itself to stick together causing fertility problems or stick to the intestines causing the bowel to become inflamed. It is often sexually transmitted and can be a long term low grade problem or a severe and short attack.
