| Description: |
Usually affects children -It is caused by a streptococcus bacteria which presents with a sore throat and a high temperature. The rash is the most striking feature of scarlet fever, It looks like bad sunburn with small lumps. The rash appears first on the neck and face then progresses onto the chest and back, then to the rest of the body; the process takes approximately a week then the skin may peel.
