| Description: |
Is a tropical or subtropical infectious disease, it is characterised by inflammation and ulceration of the large bowel. It is transmitted via faeces of someone who is infected, and can occur as quickly as twelve hours after infection. Stomach cramps, high temperature and Diarrhoea which can be blood stained are all symptoms of the infection.
