This is where inflammation occurs in a vein due to the presence of a blood clot, the site will feel painful and warm to touch. It is problem with the blood circulation which develops when a blood clot reduces the circulation in a vein, it can be either under the skin or deep in the leg. The blocked vein is swollen, inflamed, and firm. The superficial leg veins can resolve in a week or two.
