| Description: |
Is an inflammatory bowel disease which affects the colon and rectum (large intestine ) It can develop at any age, it is a persistent and ongoing disease which can be intermittent where there are times when the symptoms flare-up and periods where the condition seems steady . The condition causes ulcers which are raw areas on the lining of the intestine which may bleed and cause pain. This means passing bloody diarrhoea mucus, and sometimes pus if infection is present, it can leave you feeling tired, feeling sick, with Cramping pains in the stomach, weight loss, and anaemia may develop.
