| Description: |
Is a hereditary blood clotting disorder which can affect both men and women. It is the most common of the bleeding disorders that people have; of which there are different types they each have a problem with the Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) (a protein in blood which is necessary for proper blood clotting) to some degree or another. Symptoms vary but can include things like frequent nose bleeds, wounds taking longer to stop bleeding, bruising easily, or heavy periods.
